Joseph Edmund Berry, lovingly known as Joe, passed away on April 4, 2024, in Many, LA.

Born on July 31, 1950, in Natchitoches, Joe lived a fulfilling life dedicated to his family and friends.

Joe dedicated many years of his life working with Pilgrim’s Pride and was an excellent provider for his family. He will be remembered for his selfless nature; always ready to assist others even if it meant making personal sacrifices.

One of the greatest joys in Joe’s life was his grandchildren. He dearly loved them and was deeply involved in all their activities, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts forever.

Beyond his work and family commitments, Joe found happiness in various hobbies and interests. He loved hunting and fishing with loved ones, showcasing his exceptional carpentry skills, indulging in mud riding adventures, and spending quality time playing cards and pool with friends.

Being a social soul at heart, Joe enjoyed hanging out and making lasting memories with his dear friends.

Joe is survived by his children Lila Pardee (Harold), Patty Weeks (Michael), Joey Berry (Ashley); sister Nancy Gibson; brother James Berry (Debbie); grandchildren Dylan Pardee (Dana), Hanna Armand (Ryan), Alaina Creighton (Chris), Taylor Berry, Gage Berry, Morgan Berry, R.J. Berry; great-grandchildren Aubrey Creighton, Parker Armand, Nathan Starnes, Asher Starnes; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Katherine Waters Berry; parents Lester Berry Sr. and Georgie King Berry; three sisters; and three brothers.

Services to honor and celebrate the life of Joseph Edmund Berry will be held on April 8 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral in Natchitoches with Bro. Dean Johnson officiating.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. The burial will take place at Marthaville Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Dylan Pardee, Gage Berry, Ryan Armand, Chris Creighton, Wayne Berry, and Ricky Berry. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Hebert and David Berry.

Joseph Edmund Berry will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family.
