The Historic Delta Grand Theatre is proud to present the first 2014 production of the Delta Grand Youth Company: “Hairum Scarum” by Christina Hamlett and “After Hours,” by Kevin Stone a double-bill of one-act plays for young audiences.
“Hairum Scarum”, by Christina Hamlett, invites us into the Fantastic Frills Hair Salon, which is having a really slow day. But things turn around when a herd of fairy tale characters come in, one by one, to transform their stories by transforming their hair. This funny one-act celebrates the classic fairy tales we know and love… with a hair-raising twist.
“After Hours”, by Kevin Stone, shows us what happens when store mannequins are left alone. After the store is closed, two store mannequins get down to business, living a life the daytime staff would never believe, and they really get to strut their stuff when two bumbling burglars show up. “After Hours” is a silly romp that kids of all ages will enjoy.
Produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Englewood, Colorado.
Showtime is January 30-February 1 at 7pm and February 2 at 2pm.
Tickets are $5 and may be purchased online at www.deltagrandtheatre.com or by phone at 337-407-1806.
