Armstead, who was named to the All-Tournament team, averaged 19.5 points per game and had nine rebounds in both games.
The Dallas native opened the weekend with a 26-point outing against Western Athletic Conference (WAC) member New Mexico State in a 73-63 Lady Demon win.
She was 9-of-18 from the field and 8-for-12 at the free throw line. She also had two steals.
She followed that performance up with 13 points the following day in a 57-50 win over North Dakota State. Among her nine rebounds was three offensive boards in a game that saw NSU outrebound the Bison 48-37.
She had two assists and two blocks in the second game.
She shot an efficient 44 percent from the field and was 11-of-16 from the charity strip for the tournament.
The Lady Demons will open Southland Conference play by hosting their first two league contests in Prather Coliseum. NSU will play Sam Houston on Jan. 2 at 5:30 p.m. and Lamar on Jan. 4 at 1 p.m.
