The 30-minute show hosted by KTBS Rick Rowe features Northwestern State President Dr. Randall Webb and includes features about the history of NSU, interviews with current students and the director of the 2011 Christmas Gala, Dr. Christopher Gilliam.

Along with previewing the city of Natchitoches world-famous Christmas lights and events, the show provides a look at Northwestern State's role in this year's event.

The annual Northwestern State Christmas Gala is Nov. 30 and Dec. 1-2 at A.A. Fredericks Auditorium on the NSU campus in Natchitoches. The Gala features music and performances by the students of Northwestern State's nationally-acclaimed Mrs. H.D. Dear Sr. and Alice E. Dear School of Creative and Performing Arts.

Performances are at 7 p.m. each evening, with a second performance on the finale of the run at 9 p.m. on Dec. 2. Daytime performances focused on children take place each afternoon.

Advance tickets for Gala's four evening performances are available at, as well as at the door of the auditorium.
