The meet, hosted at the Randal Tyson Track Center, will include entries from several ranked opponents including, host team, No. 1 Arkansas, No. 4 Oregon, No. 6 LSU, No. 11 Texas, No. 12 Mississippi State, No. 22 Oklahoma and No. 25 Texas-Arlington.
Also in attendance will be local opponent Louisiana Tech and Southland Conference foe Lamar.
After last week’s improvements at the Missouri Southern Lion Open, the Demons now have 15 athletes’ bests and relay marks that rank in the top eight of the SLC performance list.
Justin Walker and Kendal Taylor are the No. 1 and 2 ranked 60m runners in the league at 6.80 and 6.82 seconds, respectively.
Taylor leads the conference in the 200m with a time of 21.40 and freshman Hanoj Carter stands at fourth in the with a time of 21.87.
The 4x400 team of Dezrick Williams, Lawrence Jackson, Austin McCauslin and Keenan Jackson registered the seventh fastest time of 3:22.02 last weekend.
With a time of 11:39.34, the Demon distance medley squad of Albert Gladney, Dezrick Williams, Matt Rodell and Mitch Landry is sixth in the SLC.
Wayne Douglas ranks second in the Southland in the triple jump with a leap of 49-08.75 and Emmanuel Williams stands at fourth with a mark of 47-7.00
The Demons join the Lady Demon squad next weekend as both teams head to Baton Rouge for the LSU Twilight meet on Friday.
