High school underclassmen can get a head start on planning for college by learning what Northwestern State University has to offer at a special event on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The Explore Northwestern State program lets high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors talk with NSU faculty, learn about academic programs and college life and visit historic Natchitoches. Those attending can talk with current Northwestern State students to find out about campus organizations and other programs and events that make NSU unique.

Registration is at 9 a.m. in the A.A. Fredericks Auditorium. A short program starts at 10 a.m. Lunch is available for $9. After lunch, those attending can get information on academic programs at Northwestern State and tour the campus and the city of Natchitoches. Tickets will also be available for the men’s basketball game between NSU and Texas A&M – Corpus Christi at 2 p.m. in Prather Coliseum.

To make your reservations or receive more information, call (800) 327-1903, e-mail recruiting@nsula.edu or go to recruiting.nsula.edu.
