Northwestern State volleyball co-head coaches Hugh and Stephanie Hernesman announced another addition to their 2014 recruiting class Friday afternoon as Tomball, Texas, native Kylie Spencer joins the Lady Demons.

Spencer will enter as a preferred walk-on and will add depth to the team as a defensive specialist/libero.

"We're thrilled to be able to announce Kylie's commitment to NSU Volleyball,” said Hernesman (Hugh). “The foundation of our program is always going to be rooted in ball control and defense, so to be able to add someone of Kylie’s talent is a big plus for our program.”

Spencer notched first team All-District and Academic All-State for the past two seasons, and All-State honorable mention as a senior at Concordia Lutheran High School.

As a junior, Spencer was named Defensive Player of the Year and second team All-State while leading the Crusaders to the second round of district playoffs.
