The game kicks off at 7 p.m. at Baytown's Stallworth Stadium and will be televised by KTRK Channel 13 in Houston. Each team has nearly 40 players, with the Texas roster comprised of standouts from the greater Houston area and the Louisiana squad stocked with stars from around the Bayou State.
Walker, a 5-11, 170-pound cornerback, was an All-District 23-5A defender who made 57 tackles, had seven pass breakups, forced two fumbles and recovered two for a 7-5 team that reached the second round of the state playoffs under coach Jim Creech last fall. His squad was 6-5 and reached the postseason in his junior season.
Walker won three football letters, and added two in track while graduating as an honor roll student at Dulles.
The Bayou Bowl is a non-profit game that raises monies each year for youth athletic scholarships. Complete rosters for each team, including coaching staff, can be found online at www.bayoubowlallstars.com.
