Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education will sponsor a National Electrical Code Seminar beginning Monday, Sept. 8 in Room 122 of Russell Hall.

The class will be offered by distance learning and will be held on Sept. 8, 10, 15, 17, 22 and 24 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Additional sessions will be taught in October and November. The fee is $295 or $275 if registration is completed by Sept. 2

The seminar will serve as an excellent tool for professionals planning to take the NEC test for a journeyman, master electrician or state contractor license.  It will also benefit anyone in the electrical profession desiring to enhance their overall knowledge of the NEC, be they engineers, designers, experienced contractors, inspectors, etc.  This seminar will be based on the 2008, 2011 and 2014 NEC.

Participants must indicate NEC (2008, 2011, or 2014) preference when registering. A required Study Reference and Electrical Theory manual for this seminar must be purchased from the instructor, available at alvinwalker.com. Participants should bring the National Electrical Code Book of their preference and a scientific calculator.

For more information or to register for the class, e-mail bedgoodm@nsula.edu, visit ece.nsula.edu/non-credit/ or call (800) 376-2422 or (318) 357-6355.
