Coming off a tough weekend on the road, the Northwestern State tennis team opens its home slate Saturday at 10 a.m. with Louisiana-Lafayette and again on Sunday, with Texas-San Antonio and Prairie View A&M at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively, at the Jack Fisher Tennis Complex.

The Lady Demons (2-3) dropped matches to then ranked No. 20 Auburn and No. 58 LSU last weekend.

The Ragin’ Cajuns (3-3) fell to Arkansas State 4-2 on Saturday, and will host a pair of mid-week matches against Southland foes Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Southeastern Louisiana.

UTSA holds a 4-5 overall record heading into the weekend, and will make a stop at Louisiana-Monroe on Feb. 22 before coming to Natchitoches.

For the Panthers, Sunday marks the first meeting between the two programs.

Last season, NSU was victorious in a 6-1 duel with Louisiana-Lafayette, but dropped a tough 4-3 battle with UTSA.

Northwestern State remains at home the following weekend, hosting Texas State and Grambling on March 2 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
