Northwestern State University will offer non-credit classes in ceramics, human resource management, playing the piano or guitar and water aerobics in January.

Beginning ceramics will be taught on Thursdays starting Jan. 12, and running through April 12. The class is from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Room 113 of the Fine Arts Annex. The fee is $150 plus $20 for supplies.

The popular water aerobics class begins Wednesday, Jan. 18. The class runs until May 11, and will be taught on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the Nesom Natatorium. The fee for the class is $95.

A Society for Human Resource Management Certificate Prep Course is set for Jan. 21 and 28, Feb. 11 and 25 and March 10, 24 and 31 from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in Room 113 of Russell Hall. The fee is $925, which includes SHRM learning system materials.

A course on beginning guitar will be held on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. from Jan. 24, through March 6. The class is at the NSU Middle Lab School. The fee is $59 plus a $10 material fee.

Intermediate guitar will be taught on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. from Jan. 24, through March 6. The class is at the NSU Middle Lab School. The fee is $59 plus a $10 material fee.

Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People will be presented on Monday, Jan. 30, from 6 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. in the A.A. Fredericks Center for Creative and Performing Arts. The fee is $55 plus a $25 material fee.
