The conference will begin with a members-only dinner on Friday evening and continue Saturday at 9 a.m. in Morrison Hall. Faculty, graduate students and undergraduate students from LSU, the University of Louisiana at Monroe, LSU-Shreveport, McNeese State University, the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Nebraska-Omaha will make presentations.
Northwestern State faculty member Dr. Greg Granger is the conference organizer. Associate Professor of History Dr. Charles Pellegrin will present the keynote address at the dinner.
According to the American Political Science Association Website, the Louisiana Political Science Association was founded in 1972. The group holds an annual meeting which gives political scientists across the state the chance to present current research and affords graduate and undergraduate students an opportunity to sharpen their research and writing skills. The association is a contributing institution to the journal Politics and Policy. An LPSA member serves as an associate editor and other members serve on the editorial board.
