Representatives from Rapides Regional Medical Center’s radiology department, cardiac catheterization and human resources conducted mock interviews for students in the radiologic technology program at NSU’s Cenla campus.

“In response to feedback received from our clinical sites regarding the interviewing skills of the graduates, the faculty decided to schedule a mock interview session,” said Kari Cook, assistant professor.

Students dressed in business attire and resumes in hand met with a panel of interviewers and were given feedback about their performance.

“All parties involved found this process to be extremely beneficial,” Cook said. “The students feel they learned valuable interview skills and have less anxiety regarding the interview process and the interviewers feel that they have some viable candidates to fill their vacant positions.”
