The Natchitoches Rotary Club received a double treat at its weekly meeting with a presentation on the Demon baseball season along with a preview of an upcoming NSU Foundation Gala honoring Bill Brent.

Ever-enthusiastic coach Lane Burroughs,  provided the group with an update on the 20 newcomers on the  roster and major changes for the team, staff,  facilities and program.  He spoke about the outstanding tradition of Demon baseball and walked the group through program changes and the team goals set for the coming season.  He noted with pride that his squad members are superior athletes as well as superior students with over a 3.0 grade-point average.

Burroughs closed with an invitation to the community to “take the family out to the ballpark” and get to know the squad.
