Hundreds turned out in honor of Felix and Cecile Monette’s anniversary. Following a mass and blessing at St. John the Baptist Catholic church in Cloutierville, family and friends hosted a party in the church hall. There was food, dancing, music and a surprise serenade of B.B. King’s “How Blue Can You Get.” The couple was presented with a quilt, each square symbolizing a family member or special event. “I’ll love her forever,” said Felix Monette about his bride.
