Bishop Presley Hutchens, commander of he Col. Samuel D. Russell Camp, SCV, presented the H.L. Hunley Award to Pvt. 1st Class Devonta Roberson at the Army JROTC banquet at Natchitoches Central High School. The award honors the crews of the Confederate submarine, H.L. Hunley, the first submarine to sink an enemy vessel in combat. At right is ROTC instructor M/Sgt. Michael Selby.
