Rho Beta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha participated in PINK goes RED on Feb. 1, 8, 15 and 22 by attending Zumba classes at the skating rink under instruction by Kim Davis-Smith. This is apart of one of the health initiatives the sorority incorporates into their service to the community.  “Pink Goes Red” is done each year to promote healthy heart awareness, particularly with women.  Every year more women die from heart disease than breast cancer.  “Pink Goes Red” is celebrated each year Feb. 1 and though Alpha Kappa Alpha’s colors are pink and green they are frequently seen wearing red during the month of February to show their support in the American Heart Association.  In front from left are Instructor Kim Davis-Smith, Samantha Lemoine, Amber Swayzer and Tiffany Roque. In back row are James Morrow, Denise DeVille, Brooke Williams, Cady White, Taronika Meeks and Clarissa Morgan. Not pictured are Courtney Swayzer, Linda Howard, President Helen Calhoun and Linda Page.
