NSU was well represented at the Baton Rouge Little Theater performance of  "Hairspray" July 22.  Donna Brewer, center, an instructor in the NSU Dept. of Creative and Performing Arts, talks with Timothy Callias and Marion Bienvenu, both of whom had starring roles in "Hairspray." Bienvenu played the role of Tracy Turnblad. She is pursuing a double concentration in musical theatre performance and performance/directing at NSU where she  has played such roles as Mrs. Peachum in "The Threepenny Opera," Matron Mama Morton in "Chicago," and Artemy in  "The Government Inspector." Callias played the role of Corny Collins in "Hairspray." Natchitoches residents saw Callias when he was Billy Flynn in "Chicago" and Dr. Lyman in "Bus Stop." Other NSU students in the production included Breanna Collier, Hana Williams and NSU graduate Leea Reese.
