Members of the Natchitoches Fire Department visited students at Weaver Elementary and discussed their roles as community helpers. They taught safety procedures to follow in the case of a fire.  Following the presentation, students presented a "hand" made flag to the firemen displaying the words "We remember 9-11." It is displayed in the window at station two on East Fifth Street. The firemen distributed fire safety coloring books to each first grader.
