L. P. Vaughn Elementary and Middle School participated in the Christmas Cheer Food Drive for central Louisiana. The school’s goal was 700 items. Members of Mary’s Student Council attended the District 7 Convention at the Fulton Hotel in Alexandria Nov. 28. They heard motivational speaker Warren Morris, a graduate of Bolton High School played on the LSU baseball team that won the College World Series. After graduating from LSU, Morris played for several MLB teams. The students broke into sessions on team building, teacher appreciation and state convention planning.
