To celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Rho Beta Omega and Eta Chi Chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. hosted a soup kitchen at First Baptist Church on Amulet Street in fulfillment of their purpose of service. Emerging Young Leaders, a group of young ladies mentored by the sorority also assisted. Members served salad, soups, crackers, cornbread, cake and drinks. Oneda Morgan, Tiffany Williams and Juliete Moffett participated in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. sponsored soup kitchen.
