Lisa Wiggins spoke at the monthly meeting of the Master Gardener Association at the Arts Center. Wiggins, who is the librarian at NSU Elem. Lab School, described the garden that her students developed during the last five years. There are 12 classes with 300 students participating in the research, preparation, plant maintenance and harvesting produce from the school’s garden. Wiggins uses the garden to teach students about the possibility of growing their own food and the importance of healthy eating.
