From left are Richard Johnson and Jerry Pierce of Natchitoches, members of a Shreveport-Bossier City based tennis team that won the 3.5 men’s state championship for players age 65 and over last weekend in Lake Charles.  Pierce and Johnson were doubles partners and were undefeated in the state tournament.  The team will advance to the Southern Sectional championships later this year in Columbus, Ga., to compete against state champions from eight other southern states.
