The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Northwestern State University will sponsor a workshop, “Starting and Financing a Business,” Tuesday, Jan. 24. The workshop will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Room 213 of Russell Hall. There is no charge for the workshop, but those wishing to attend should sign up in advance by calling (318) 357-5611 or going to lsbdc.org.

Jim Kilcoyne, a business consultant and LSBDC@NSU director, will present the workshop, which is highly recommended for those interested in determining the feasibility of their business idea, planning to start or have recently started a small business, seeking a small business loan or wanting to learn more about business planning. Topics of discussion will include writing a business plan, sources of funds for start-up and expansion, small business resources and required licenses.
