“We are pleased to develop this agreement with Delgado Community College. The field of radiologic sciences is a high demand field and those who complete their education at Delgado and Northwestern State will be well prepared for a productive career,” said Northwestern State President Dr. Randall J. Webb. “We look forward to working with Delgado on additional agreements which will benefit both institutions.”
Northwestern State’s Radiologic Technologist to Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences degree program is available online, one of 29 online degree programs at Northwestern State.
“These agreements between our institutions represent new avenues for our students to achieve their educational goals, and they represent a collaborative effort between higher education institutions from different parts of Louisiana, with different educational missions, to improve the state and its citizens,” said interim Delgado Chancellor Deborah R. Lea.
Delgado is the oldest and largest community college in Louisiana. Delgado was founded in 1921 and serves 30,000 students with seven campuses and sites.
Webb and Lea said the partnership is mutually beneficial. Traditional and non-traditional students attending Delgado will have the opportunity after completing core requirements to transfer to an RT to BSRS program that will accept Delgado credits. Northwestern State will have the opportunity to accept students into the RT to BSRS who are well prepared with foundation course work.
