Stephanie Brown Trafton led the event with a throw of 206-1 and Mary Angell rounded out the qualifiers with a 176-11 mark and finished in 12th place.
Rew-Hoover ranked seventh after hitting the 173-0 mark in her first throw, but due to fouls in both of her final attempts fell to 14th overall.
She will throw in the shot put qualifying June 28, at 7:40 p.m, and the finals will be the following Friday at 5:30 p.m.
The top three finishers in each event make the Olympic Team, with fourth-place finishers as alternates.
Other alumni competing in the Olympic Trials hosted by the University of Oregon are triple jumpers LaMark Carter and Kenta Bell and javelin thrower Samantha Ford Hatten.
