Northwestern State University will make a special announcement about its College of Education and Human Development during an annual university-wide luncheon Wednesday, Aug. 15 in Prather Coliseum. The announcement will be included in Northwestern State President Dr. Randall J. Webb’s address to all university employees and local dignitaries.

Several faculty and staff will be recognized at the luncheon, which will follow the morning’s Faculty Institute where winners of the Excellent in Teaching Awards, Excellence in Academic Advising Award, the Fleming A. Thomas Faculty Information Literacy Award and Faculty Service Awards will be announced. Employees with 30, 35 and 40 years of service to the university will be honored at the lunch, along with recipients of the Staff Service Award.

The Faculty Institute and university-wide lunch is held every year prior to the beginning of the fall semester as a welcome to faculty and staff and a time to share information and announcements with university employees from all campuses.

Classes begin at Northwestern State on Monday, Aug. 20.
