Younger participants will learn basic cheers and the Demon Fight Song. Junior high participants will learn all-girl partner stunting, cheers and the Demon Fight Song. High school participants will learn all of the above as well as basic guy/girl stunting. Seniors will be able to practice stunting to prepare for college cheerleading auditions.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. in the Health and Human Performance Building. Participants will perform during halftime of the Northwestern State basketball game. Participants will receive a t-shirt, snack and a fun-filled day with the Northwestern State cheerleaders. Participants will receive private coaching, if desired.
The cost of the clinic is $40 which includes t-shirt, snack and admission to the game for the participant. Participants attending as a squad will only be charged $30 each if at least eight people participate. Parents can purchase tickets at a reduced rate of $5 each if purchased at check-in for the clinic.
Northwestern State Lady Demons will play the University of New Orleans at noon on Feb. 23.
