The loss brings the Lady Demons to 5-5 on the season while the Lady Techsters improve to 5-3.
“This was a very hard fought match,” said Lady Demon head coach Patric DuBois. “La Tech has a very solid team and unfortunately we came out on the short end of another 4-3 match.”
Tatiana Larina and Nedorostova took NSU's only doubles win of the day, defeating Alexandra Starkova and Joana Nalborska 8-6 at the No. 2 spot.
Konop led NSU once again in singles play, capturing a win at the No. 1 position against LaTech's Vivian ten Dolle 6-1, 6-1.
Krutova also grabbed a win, taking down Nalborska 2-6, 7-5, 6-2 in the third spot and Nedorostova overpowered Melanie Urvoy 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 4 position.
The Lady Demons travel to Conway, Arkansas on Saturday to face Central Arkansas in their second Southland Conference match of the season.
