The class will be held in Russell Hall Room 122 on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. through May 25.
The fee for the class is $199, which does not include the textbook.
The class is geared toward the most difficult portion of the notary public examination, the scenarios.
The course starts with general legal writing tips, then moves to the information necessary to write a proper legal instrument needed in notarial practice.
Participants will use class time and personal time preparing notarial acts from scenario facts, which will be turned in to the instructor for critique.
This course is geared to those who have already taken the notary public exam and need further instruction for the scenario portion of the exam.
Participants should have knowledge of the materials contained in the “Fundamentals of Louisiana Notarial Law and Practice,” the Louisiana Notary Public examination official study guide, which is available from the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Web site at sos.la.gov.
