Northwestern State co-head coaches Brooke and Scott Stoehr announced that Emily Spector from Timber Creek High School in Keller, Texas signed her letter of intent on Wednesday to join the women’s basketball team.

Spector, a 5-10 guard-forward combo, is a two-time first team all-district player and was named Falcon of the Year and team Most Valuable Player.

“We are thrilled to add a student-athlete of Emily’s caliber to our signing class,” said Brooke Stoehr. “Emily is a young lady who can play multiple positions and can shoot the basketball. She gives length and size on the perimeter, and can play with her back to the basket. She rebounds and pursues the ball well.”

She averaged 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, and a block per game her senior season at Timber Creek.

“Emily has played in a great system and has been developed throughout her high school career by Coach Tina DeMichele,” said Stoehr.

Spector joins five other student-athletes that signed with Northwestern State in the early signing period. Breonna O’Conner of Ville Platte (Ville Platte HS), Robin Richardson of Independence (Ponchatoula HS), Kourtney Pennywell of Shreveport (Southwood HS), Beatrice Attura of McKinney, Texas (Frisco Liberty HS), and Amy Staha of Pflugerville, Texas (Pflugerville HS) all inked in November.
