NSU names 81 students and faculty member to Phi Kappa Phi; initiates listed

Eighty-one Northwestern State University students along with faculty member Dr. Massimo D. Bezoari of the Louisiana Scholars’ College have been inducted into the university’s chapter of Honor Society Phi Kappa Phi in a ceremony held in Magale Recital Hall.

Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest, largest and most selective all-discipline honor society whose mission is to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of high education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others.

Those initiated were Antoinette C. Marsalis of LaPlace, Jancarlos José Romero of New Orleans, Jessica Guttierrez of Mandeville, Leah Lapoint of Church Point, Desiree P. Robison of Opelousas, Amanda Kaye Dugas of St. Martinville, John Michael Fruge’ Sr. of Scott, Helen Elizabeth Long of Lake Charles, Stephanie Nicole Schornick of Hayes, Hailey Nicole Suarez of Sulphur, Tomika Denise Williams of Gonzales and Christy Decoteau Dixon, David Ryerson and Jessica Rose Viator of Prairieville.

This year’s inductees also included Idell Thomas-Payne of Zachary, Tabatha Burks, Anna Brook Gasperecz and Jessica Jewel Ratelle of Baton Rouge, Lindsy E.
