The Tyler, Texas, product from Tyler John Tyler High School earned four letters as a safety and cornerback for the Demons from 2008-11. He played in 43 games and made 137 tackles (57 solo), recording 24 pass breakups, intercepting four passes and recovering three fumbles. He had a career-best nine tackles, including a sack, at LSU as a senior.
Lane was the Defensive Player of the Game after making eight tackles and a pass breakup in the Casino Del Sol College Football All-Star Game after his senior season.
