NSU will test high school students in lit. rally

Northwestern State University will host the annual Northwest Louisiana High School Literary Rally Saturday Feb. 22. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the Friedman Student Union. Testing begins at 9 a.m. with additional rounds at 10:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Students from 47 high schools in central and northwest Louisiana will take tests in subjects including agricultural science, business, mathematics, science, English, social sciences, computer science and more. The Northwest Louisiana Literary Rally is one of the oldest and largest in the state.

 Participating schools include Alexandria Country Day, Alexandria Senior High, Atlanta, Arcadia, Avoyelles Charter School, Benton, Bolton, Bossier, Buckeye, Caddo Magnet, Calvin, Calvary Baptist Academy and Captain Shreve.

Other schools taking part are Castor, C.E. Byrd, Central School, Converse, Dodson, Ebarb, Evangel Christian Academy, Florien, Glenmora, Grant, Huntington, Lakeview, Loyola College Prep, Many, Montgomery, Natchitoches Central, Negreet and North Caddo Magnet.

Also participating are Northwood of Lena, Parkway, Peabody Magnet, Pineville, Pleasant Hill, Rapides, Red River, Ringgold, Riverdale Academy, Saline, St. Mary’s, Winnfield Woodlawn Leadership Academy and Zwolle. More information is available at ccs.nsula.edu/nw-district-literary-rally.
