Friday's LSU Twilight meet is the final regular-season competition of the indoor track and field season for Northwestern State, with first-year head coach Mike Heimerman keeping in mind a short turnaround before next week's Southland Conference Indoor Championships.

Competition at the newly-renovated Carl Maddox Field House begin with field events at 1:30, while running starts at 4:45 with the 4x400 meter relay slated to cap the evening at 8:45. The upgrades include a new Mondo track surface, new long jump and triple jump runways and new throwing circles, along with permanent bleacher seating.

Eight in-state schools are entered, including Southeastern Louisiana, Southern, New Orleans, Tulane, Nicholls State and Loyola-New Orleans along with LSU and Northwestern.

NSU, Southeastern, UNO and Nicholls will be in the Southland Indoors next Wednesday and Thursday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
