NSU helps out graduate

Because of illness, Amanda Durand Grimm of Pollock was unable to attend her graduation ceremony at Northwestern State University last week or the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health pinning ceremony for graduates. Instead, she was met at the hospital by NSU Assistant Professor of Nursing Ann Deshotels and presented with her NSU nursing pin. Pinning is a symbolic way of welcoming of new nurses into the nursing profession.  New nurses are presented pins by their faculty. Grimm earned her degree magna cum laude at NSU’s Cenla Nursing Center.
