The Northwestern State football team will make at least four television appearances this fall, including the Demons’ Southland Conference opener against in-state rival Southeastern Louisiana Oct. 4 at Strawberry Stadium in Hammond.

The league announced Tuesday that it will feature 15 exclusive broadcasts of the 11-team league, including 10 on the Southland Conference Network and five on ESPN3.

Two of the Demons’ television games, including the SLU contest, will be on the SLC Network that reaches across more than 25 regional affiliates.

The Oct. 4 game against the NCAA quarterfinalist Lions is slated for a 3 p.m. kickoff, and Sam Houston State and the Demons will be featured on the network Oct. 18 at 3 p.m.

Northwestern State will host Incarnate Word on ESPN3 at 6 p.m. Oct. 11 in front of a national audience.

The season-ending NSU and Stephen F. Austin game Nov. 22 could be a wild card selection for the Southland Conference Network, as it has been several times in recent years.

Along with the SLC Network and ESPN3, the Demons will also be featured on the Fox Sports Network for the Baylor game Sept. 6.
