Senior guard Chelsea Rogers tends the pin on the 18th green at Demon Hills Golf Course as NSU women’s basketball co-head coach Brooke Stoehr drops in a 10-foot putt preparing for the upcoming Don’t Die Wondering Golf Classic XXVI on Saturday, Aug. 2. The four-person scramble event is the biggest annual fundraiser supporting the Lady Demon basketball program, which won 21 games and played in the NCAA Tournament last year. Watching the putt are co-head coach and Brooke’s husband, Scott Stoehr; Demon Hills golf course manager Hall Adams; NSU Foundation board member and Natchitoches resident Tommy Chester; and incoming freshman guard Sami Thomas. Team and individual entries are welcomed. To enter the tournament or become a sponsor, or for more info, call Brooke Stoehr at 357-5892 or David Stamey at 357-1262.
