Services for Alberta Rax Lucas will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22 at Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Glynn officiating. Burial will follow in Roadview Cemetery under the direction of Robinson Mortuary. The wake will be July 22 from 9-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Alberta Lucas, 84, of Lena passed away at 11:30 a.m. July 12, 2017, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Charles “J.C.” Lucas Sr.; mother, Lillie Peterson: brothers, Richard Rax and Mack Henry Rax; and children, Freddie Lucas, Agnes Faye Lucas and the Rev. Albert Lucas. Survivors include six daughters, Geneva Stevens, Maxine Lucas, Barbara Thompson, Debra Lucas, Mary Johnson and Iola Monette; five sons, James Charles Lucas Jr., Alonzo Lucas, Wilton Lucas, Anthony Lucas and John Henry Lucas; one sister, Nellie Young; 23 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
