The second annual Miss Cure on the Cane Pageant will be Aug. 12. The queens will be the official Natchitoches Parish Relay for Life ambassadors for the 2017-18 relay year. All proceeds from the pageant will be given to the American Cancer Society. This is a crown all event. The deadline to enter is Aug. 2. Forms can be picked up at Red River Mill Credit Union, Lux or Ya Ya’s or requested on the Miss Cure on the Cane Pageant Facebook page.
The entry fee is $55 for the first contestant and $30 for each additional sibling. The PayPal address is misscureonthecanepageant@gmail.com
Registration is from 9-10 a.m. and the competition starts at 10:30 a.m.

0–6 months – Newborn Miss, 7-12 months – Infant Miss, 13–24 months – Baby Miss, 2 years – Toddler Miss, 3 years – Tiny Miss, 4-5 years – Little Miss, 6–7 years – Petite Miss, 8-9 years – Jr. Deb Miss, 10-11 years – Deb Miss, 12-13 years – Jr. Miss, 14-16 years – Teen Miss, 17-23 years – Miss, 23+ years or married/divorced/mom – Ms., Mature woman – Lady, Any cancer survivor/fighter – Survivor
Attire
0 months – 9 years – Sunday Best (custom or off the rack)
10-23 years & Ms. – Evening Wear (floor-length formal)
Lady – Pant Suit
Survivor/Fighter – Awareness/Support wear (Choose a dominate color that supports a specific type of cancer ex. Pink-breast cancer, Light Blue – prostate cancer, Teal – ovarian cancer, etc. or Purple as the color for all cancers. These outfits can be custom or store bought.)
*No fake hair or fake teeth. 0-3 years (NO MAKEUP), 4 years and up (age appropriate hair and makeup)*
Awards
Each queen will receive a custom queen crown, queen banner and goody bag (0-9 years) or bouquet (10 years – up).
First and second alternates will receive an alternate crown, banner and goody bag (0-9 years) or bouquet (10 years – up).
Each contestant will receive an alternate crown and goody bag (0-9 years) or bouquet (10 years – up).
Each photogenic winner will receive a custom charger.
Side awards will be given in each division. Each side award winner will receive a medal for most beautiful, prettiest hair, best fashion and prettiest smile.
