The game of pickleball has spread to Natchitoches. The town is hosting its second pickleball tournament with the Senior Olympics, raising money for the NSU Demon Basketball team. The tournament will be July 29-30 with check-in at 8 a.m. and games beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Last year’s attendance doubled from when the event was in Alexandria with 75 participants coming from five-seven states. There will be games at three locations- MLK Center, First Methodist and First Baptist on Second Street. The cost to enter will be $25. Individuals 50 years of age or older are eligible.
