Two Juveniles Behind Bars After Robbery

Natchitoches Police Department officers were dispatched to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office Monday, Aug. 7 in reference to an armed robbery. Officers spoke with a 16-year-old victim who advised he was walking in a parking lot on Second Street when  two black males approached him. One appeared to have a gun and demanded he give them his phone. The pair absconded with the cell phone. The victim got to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office for help.

NPD patrol officers, task force agents and criminal investigators searched the area and located two subjects fitting the description given by the victim.  The subjects were brought in and identified by the victim as the two that committed the robbery.

The suspects, one 16-year-old black male and one 15-year-old black male were arrested and charged with one count each of first degree robbery and transported to WARE youth detention center in Red River Parish.

The victim was unharmed during this incident.
