NPSO Patrol deputies, La. State Police, NPSO Rescue, Natchitoches Parish Fire District #4 Rescue, Provencal Police and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS responded to 911 reports of a head-on collision on La. Hwy 478 west of La. Hwy 117 near Vowells Mill Monday, Aug. 7 at 3 p.m.
La. State Police say Noah N. Taylor, 20, of Campti was operating a 2005 Toyota Camry traveling eastbound on La. Hwy 478 when he apparently crossed the centerline striking a 2006 Hyundai Tucson operated by Caleb D. Boyd, 26, of Natchitoches.

Both drivers were trapped and were extricated by members of Natchitoches Parish Fire District #4 Rescue.
Taylor was transported by EMS to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center with moderate, non-life threatening injuries.
Boyd was transported by EMS to Rapides Regional Medical Center with moderate, non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Troopers assigned to LSP Troop-E investigated the crash.
