Young at Heart met at First United Methodist Church Wednesday, Aug. 2 for a program by the Council on Aging of chair aerobics and Tai Chi. Alice Barrios introduced her program coordinator Linda Turner, who told of the programs at the new Natchitoches Parish Council on Aging facilities on Keyser Avenue. Roberta Garner leads the chair aerobics and demonstrated exercises with balls and weights and Avila Kahey demonstrated Tai Chi moves. Recently, the Department of Veterans Affairs opened an office in the building. Food is supplied to Meals on Wheels clients, as well as a second Tuesday 8 a.m. breakfast.
