Parish roads continue to be source of contention among residents and the Parish Council, who is in charge of maintenance.
Almost daily rainfall has added to the problem, causing dirt roads to become even more treacherous.
A resident on Iron Springs Road off Hwy 155 in Ashland provided these photos depicting ruts as deep as 14 inches in some places.
Residents feel part of the problems with the roads lies in the ditches. They are not being dragged thus allowing the water to hold in the roads rather than ditches.
One resident told the Times they spoke to a grader operator and learned the operators were not allowed to drag the ditches.
The Times reached out to Parish President Rick Nowlin Friday morning but did not receive a response by press time.
