A beloved brother, cousin and friend has gone home to be with the Lord. Kenneth “Dabo” Calhoun left this earth Sunday, June 30, 2017, in Shreveport. He was a native resident of the Allen-Beulah community.
Dabo loved horses and was a gardener. The funeral will be at St. Mark Baptist Church Saturday, Aug. 12 at 11:30 a.m. The repast will be at Mr. Calhoun’s home on Harvey Calhoun Road. He will be sadly missed by a multitude of family, friends and neighbors. RIP “Dabo.”
Condolences to the Calhoun family. Also, condolences to the Carney Family for the loss of Amanda Carney in Homer in Claiborne Parish.
Ms. Carney graduated in May 2017 and was killed July 27 by an inmate from the correction center.
He was killed by officers. The violence must stop.
The evil people are taking our young men and women from their loved ones and the families will never be the same. The circle has been broken.
Remember the sick and shut-ins. Pray ye one for another. Our Sunday school lesson was “Called to Serve” from Acts.
Happy birthday to my son, Jermaine “Jigga” Smith Aug. 24, Gayla Banks Aug. 25, Tammy Tousaint Aug. 21 and ’Lil Miss Aniyah Shields who will be 7, Ella Manning Aug. 23 and Leon Calhoun Aug. 7.
May God bless you abundantly.
