On Aug. 16, around 12:30 am Alberto Castro-Lopez lost control of his vehicle around the intersection of Second St. and Demziere and ended up hitting a tree and overturning the vehicle.
The vehicle was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed and ran off the road and hit the curb, then a tree and ended up on its side eventually rolling over on its top upside down in a yard on Percy Street.
A citation was issued for careless operation to Castro-Lopez. The driver was transported to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
