The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that starting Monday, Aug. 21, construction work will begin on LA 119 from LA 8 to Catholic Church Road. The project length is 5.774 miles.
The scope of work includes Milling Asphaltic Concrete, Concrete Treated Base, Asphalt Concrete Overlay and related work. This project was bid on July 12, 2017, and the contract was awarded to Diamond B Construction Co., LLC of Alexandria.
The amount awarded was $2,537,293.38. There are 70 working days allowed for this project.

Local traffic will be maintained at all times and no permitted loads will be affected.
