DeSoto Parish and Shelby County, Texas, authorities are investigating after a woman’s body was found in the Sabine River Sunday morning.
A caller spotted the body near the U.S. Highway 84 bridge just before 7 a.m. DeSoto Parish Sheriff Rodney Arbuckle identified the woman as Sophia Young Davis, 48 of Keatchie. Authorities believe she has been staying in the Logansport area recently.
An autopsy will determine her cause of death. The case remains under investigation.
