A penalty ruling for a violation was issued to West Monroe High School in the sport of football Aug. 25. The school was determined guilty of recruiting.
The student, school and head coach Jerry Alredge will be facing penalties set forth from the association.
The school will be fined $5,000 and under an administrative probation now until Aug. 25, 2018, Alredge will be under a four-game suspension Sept. 1-Sept. 22 for contests only and the student recruited will be ineligible for playing at any level for one calendar year.
